Materials are only one layer

Compatibility questions can include pipe, seals, valves, compressors and monitoring equipment. A network note becomes useful when it maps each component to an evidence question instead of treating the material grade as a single pass or fail decision.

The customer end matters

Appliances, industrial burners and process controls may respond differently to a changed gas composition. Metering and quality assurance must remain visible, because the gas that enters the network is not the only thing that determines the delivered service. Conversion work can shift cost and schedule even when the pipeline itself appears suitable.

Make the boundary explicit

A careful comparison states whether it is discussing a test section, a distribution network or a national system. It records the blend rule, the affected equipment and the monitoring plan. That is how a reader avoids turning one local result into an unsupported universal limit.
